California is a wild and wonderful land.  When I travel around the state I am always interested in the odd and unusual.  This pictorial map illuminates what is special, in my mind, about California.  From the highest spot in the contiguous United States, to the lowest in elevation and from the giant Sequoias to the sandy beaches, California is a state of extremes.  I have not attempted to portray anything with geographical accuracy; my guiding light has been to have fun.
